ESSURE is a permanent sterilization procedure for women performed by an Essure Accredited Practice (EAP).  Dr. Amy Brenner is a certified EAP physician and on the National Physician Advisory Panel for Essure.  She actually teaches other physicians how to perform this procedure  and is committed to providing the ultimate in patient care, satisfaction, and successful outcome.
 
Essure offers what no other birth control does. This is different than the traditional method of a tubal ligation.  There is no cutting, scars or hormones.  Instead, Dr. Brenner places microinserts through the body’s natural pathway (vagina into cervix) and into the fallopian tubes.  During the next 3 months, your body heals over the insert and forms a barrier that prevents sperm from reaching the egg.  Another form of birth control is needed during this time.  After 3 months, Dr. Brenner performs a confirmation test (a special x-ray) to confirm that your tubes are blocked.  At this time, we can celebrate that you can rely on Essure for birth control for the rest of your life.
